The Paterson School District continues to invest in top administrative salaries, as well as continues to create new administrative positions.
*The district’s new technology director’s starting salary is $170,000.
*More than 20 administrative employees now have $170,000 or greater salaries.
*To “right size” administrative salaries to bring them in line with comparable county and statewide districts, the Board of Education is making plans to raise administrative salaries—including the Business Administrator and three (3) assistant superintendents— approximately $15,000 – $20,000 per person per year, bringing their salary averages to over $185,000.
***Paterson Deputy Superintendent Peron’s annual salary is now $247,629.
***Paterson Superintendent Shafer’s annual salary is $267,900.
Meanwhile, the District continues to claim that the boots on the ground, those that work in the schools, are only worthy of 0% increases for the next five years. We believe that we are worth more than that!
