Full Dues Paying P.E.A. Members,
Each year, members of the P.E.A. are entitled to stand to represent the Union at the NEA’s yearly representative assembly meeting. Each year, the meeting takes place in early July. For this year, the meeting will again be virtual.
N.E.A. informs the Union that the P.E.A. is entitled to not more than 19 local representatives to the NEA Representative Assembly. If you wish to register under local credentials, and more than 19 full dues-paying members register to receive local credentials, the P.E.A. MUST hold an election via Intelliscan to ensure that our local is represented. With this said, please understand that our office is still fully remote. Thus, each individual seeking to serve MUST follow all of the instructions on the form below. This includes sending your form to the correct email address, and doing so by February 19, 2021, at 3:00 PM. Failure to adhere to any of the directions on the local credentials form is NOT the responsibility of the Paterson Education Association. Each application received will be time-stamped by Javy Payano in the order by which they were received. Any applications received AFTER the deadline (February 19, 2021, at 3:00), will be waitlisted should anyone be unable to attend, or if anyone received state credentials.
Applications sent to any of our officers will NOT be opened. Please only send your completed application to the address listed on the form.
