Despite its claim to not have the resources to increase educators’ salaries, the Paterson School District continues to invest in existing administrative salaries, as well as continues to create new administrative positions.

The district’s new technology director’s starting salary is $170,000.
More than two dozen administrative employees now have salaries at $170,000 or greater.
In order to “right size” administrative salaries to bring them in line with comparable county and statewide districts, the Board of Education recently voted to raise administrative salaries approximately $15,000 – $20,000 per person per year, bringing their salary averages to over $185,000.
