Doris Gary Lauded for Assisting FamiliesTRENTON - The Department of Human Services, on Friday, December 10, honored a Paterson teacher for assisting foster care families. DORIS GARY, of School # 26, was one of five volunteers feted during the Division of youth and family Services' fifth annual Foster Children's Day. For 13 years, Gary has worked with members of the Second Baptist Church in Paterson and with co-workers at the Board of Education to aid families that care for foster children. Her project, called "Tree of Love" collects gifts and Christmas baskets for the families. Congratulations to Doris on this well-deserved recognition! |
